Carolyn Anne
Wysocki
January 14, 1961 – August 9, 2021
Atkinson: Carolyn Anne Wysocki, 60, a longtime resident of Plaistow and Atkinson, NH, died peacefully in her sleep, on August 9, 2021, in Manchester, NH.
Born in Haverhill, Massachusetts, daughter of Lorraine O. (DesRoches) Wysocki and the late W. Robert Wysocki, she graduated from Timberlane Regional High School with the Class of 1981 and later received her Certificate in Human Service Aid in 1983 from the New Hampshire Vocational and Technical College in Claremont, NH.
Carolyn was first employed at AT&T Network Systems in North Andover, MA, first as a Reproduction Operator and later as a mail clerk at Bell Labs. She later worked at Demoulas/Market Basket in Plaistow as a checkout assistant and in customer service and finally in the same capacity for several years at Shaw's Supermarket in Plaistow.
A member of Saint Luke the Evangelist Parish at Holy Angels Church in Plaistow, Carolyn served as a CCD teacher and as a Eucharistic Minister of the parish. She was also a member of the Cursillo Community and the Tabor Young Adult Group of Saint Basil's Seminary in Methuen, MA, the Future Telephone Pioneers of America, The Christian Organization of Plaistow (COOP), Bridging the Horizon, ARC, and stage production assistant, performer and soloist for Play Among the Stars Theatre Group.
The time that Carolyn spent with her family was of utmost importance to her but she also found time to volunteer extensively as a Pioneer Clown and for the Special Olympics at Saint Anne's Home and Girls' Inc. of Haverhill. She contributed over two hundred fifty hours as a volunteer at the former Hale Hospital in Haverhill and also as a Board Member of the Future Telephone Pioneers of America. She voluntarily served as the secretary of the Board of Directors of the ARC, and still managed to devote some time to Baker-Katz Nursing Home in Haverhill.
Carolyn enjoyed Karaoke at American Legion Farm, spending summers at the beach with her family, arts and crafts and attending country music concerts. Throughout her life she took part in self-advocacy groups and other social groups at Life Visions, self-defense training, line dancing, swimming at the YMCA and diabetic health training.
Friendships were very important to Carolyn whether she met them at work, the organizations that she belonged to, or through her many volunteer efforts. She leaves behind many of those friends who will miss her and cherish the many memories of her journey through life.
In addition to her mother, Lorraine O. (DesRoches) Wysocki of Hampton, NH, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her brother, Robert J. Wysocki of Woodstock, GA, a sister and brother-in-law, Laurie A. and Duane J. Dumont of Atkinson, a brother-in-law, Norman Lohmeyer of McLeansville, NC, eight nieces and nephews, Monique (Lohmeyer) Maness and her husband, Nicholas, Hans R.
