Kingston, NH: Carolyn A. Fales- Went home to be with Jesus at the age of 81, on May 19, 2020.
Carolyn was born November 15, 1938, the daughter of the late Frank Porter, Abbie (Hollis) Porter and Frank Cochrane. Carolyn Attended high school in Somerville, MA. She married her high school sweetheart, George E. Fales, Jr., and they celebrated 64 happy years of marriage together, in February.
Carolyn was a dedicated employee and volunteer of the Boy Scouts of America. In her role as volunteer, she became a Den Leader so her son could attend cub scouts. This led to many other volunteer roles. Carolyn was awarded the Silver Beaver Award, making her the first female in New England to earn the award. She also earned the Spark Plug Award and the District Award of Merit. Carolyn also became a Wood Badge Trainer. Carolyn was a member of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, where she was a Lay Leader. She was also a member of the Shriners/ Daughters of the Nile, where she volunteered for many of the Shriner's events to benefit Disabled children. For several years, Carolyn volunteered in elementary schools, working with the children that had learning disabilities.
Surviving, in addition to her husband George, are her daughter, Lynn A. Pineo and her husband Andrew of Seabrook, NH, her son, George E. Fales III and his wife Robin of Exeter, NH, daughter, Dawn M. Jones and her husband Stephen of Kingston, NH, daughter, Lisa J. Fales and her partner Steven of Kingston, NH, six grandchildren, Michael Nash, George Fales IV, Amanda Kuken, Derek George Jr., Kyle George and Morgan Riley, a great grandson, Carter Nash, two sisters, Lynda Depalo and Pat Sheehan as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Frank Porter and her granddaughter Leanne Nash.
A service of remembrance will be held at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in Haverhill, MA at a date to be determined in the future.
