Haverhill: Carol A. (Paradis) Gallant, 76, a former longtime resident of Wilson Street, died March 27, 2020 at Penacook Place in Haverhill.

Born in Haverhill, daughter of the late Edelbert and Mary (Carver) Paradis, she was raised and educated in Haverhill, graduating Haverhill High School with the Class of 1961. She worked as a young woman at Western Electric Co. and later while raising her three sons, she worked as a lunch monitor and bus monitor for the Haverhill Public School System.

A member of All Saints Parish and the former Saint George's Parish of Haverhill, Mrs. Gallant was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and also enjoyed  gardening, scrap booking, crossword puzzles, camping, and trips to Old Orchard Beach. She had an extensive collection of porcelain dolls and ceramic cows and was devoted to her dog Bret and cat Morris. As resident at Penacook Place, she enjoyed adult coloring and live music.

Predeceased in 1998 by her beloved husband Louis J. Gallant, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by three sons, Matthew L. Gallant and his wife Jessica, of Haverhill, Luke J. Gallant of Haverhill and Brian L. Gallant and his life partner, Cheryl Davis of Kingston, NH, grandchildren, Aidan J. and Keily Gallant, two brothers, Philip and Edward Paradis, both of New Hampshire, and a sister Jackie Hills of New Hampshire, and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by brothers, James, George, Roger, and Joseph Paradis, and sisters, Helena Dufault, Irene Wolf, Marian Paradis and Catherine Paradis.

Due to the National Health Emergency, funeral services and burial will be private and under the direction of Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Penacook Place Activity Fund, 150 Water St. Haverhill.
