Carol A (Bohanan) Costa, 71, a resident of Lowell for the past ten years and formerly of Haverhill, died peacefully at her home on Friday, December 22, 2017.

Born in Haverhill, September 23, 1946, daughter of the late Clifford and Ella (Dunn) Bohanan, she attended Haverhill public schools and was a member of the Haverhill High School Class of 1965.

Primarily a housewife and homemaker for most of her life, Carol worked as a waitress as a young woman. She was a member of the former Saint Joseph Parish of Haverhill and former member of All Saints Parish.

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by two sons, Edward P. Costa, Jr. of Napa, CA, and Kevin M. Costa of Lawrence, three daughters and sons-in-law, Cynthia J. and Daniel Russell of Amesbury, Kimberly A. and Anthony Mirra of West Newbury, and Tiffany and William Michaud of Kingston, NH, two brothers, Clifford Bohanan of Haverhill and Richard Bohanan and his wife Diane of Orange, nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother David Bohanan.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, December 28, 2017 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill. Her funeral service will follow at 6:15 at the funeral home.
