Obituary

Chester, NH: Carmela A. "Millie" (Tringali) Passanisi, age 95, a resident of Chester for thirteen years, died peacefully on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at Parkland Medical Center in Derry.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, daughter of the late Gaetano and Gaetana (Fazio) Tringali, she attended local schools and graduated from Sacred Hearts High School in 1943. She was married to her beloved husband Thomas J. Passanisi of Somerville, Massachusetts on October 21, 1945, and they lived for a while in Somerville before moving to Lexington in 1961.

A resident of Lexington, where they raised their family, she was a former member of St. Brigid's Parish and worked in the food service department of Lexington High School. She moved to Chester in 2007 and was a member of Saint Anne's Parish of Hampstead and the Disney Vacation Club.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she will be especially remembered for her love of the time she spent with them and her famous biscotti cookies. She also enjoyed trips to Disney World with her family and Wednesday Night Bingo.

Predeceased in 2006 by her husband of sixty-one years, Thomas J. Passanisi, and also by two sons, Steven T. Passanisi in 2006 and James T. Passanisi in 2019, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her son Richard T. Passanisi and his wife Cheryl of Agawam, MA,  daughters-in-law, Patricia Passanisi of Sandown and Joanne Passanisi of Fremont, eight grandchildren, Amy Blaszka, David Passanisi, Katy Denham, Maria Passanisi, Andrea vonOeyen, Ricky Passanisi, Jill Dunham and Lynne Passanisi, four great grandchildren, Aana Blaszka, Andrew Blaszka, Thomas Blaszka and Patrick vonOeyen, and other extended family members and friends. She was also predeceased by her brother Salvatore Tringali.

Because of the national health emergency, public services will be held at a later date under the direction of Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home of Plaistow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to: St. Jude Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN or to St. Anne's Parish Food Pantry, Emerson Avenue, Hampstead, NH.
