Carlos Santillan Gonzalez, "Charly", 39, of Haverhill, passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2021, at Boston Medical Center.

Born and raised in Mexico, he was the son of the late Francisco Santillan and Salud Gonzalez, and he was a graduate of Luis Pasteur High School.

Charly was a construction framer by trade, always working hard to provide for his loving family. He cherished being a husband and father. His children called him a superhero because no matter what challenges he faced in life he always had a positive attitude and an enduring strength. He would readily lend a helping hand to anyone in need with a smile and a humorous attitude. Charly also loved nature, especially spending time down at the river fishing and meditating.

Charly will be sadly missed and forever held in the heart of his wife of twelve years, Luisa Nunez, his sons, Santiago Cubanan , Jeremy Santillan Nunez, and Jacob Santillan Nunez, his daughter, Katherine Santillan Nunez, his brothers, Jose Santillan, Ramiro Santillan, Ruben Santillan, Bernardino Santillan, Carlos Delarosa, and Crishtopher Apantenco , his sisters, Alicia Santillan, Irma Santillan, Angelica Santillan, and Patricia Delarosa, as well as several nephews and nieces.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Funeral Service at 6:00 pm on Friday, April 30, 2021, at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill, MA, following the guidelines of wearing a face covering and social distancing.
