IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Carl F.
Jesionowski
November 22, 1935 – November 17, 2020
Plaistow, NH: Carl F. Jesionowski, 84, a longtime resident of Plaistow, died Tuesday evening, November 17, 2020 at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, MA.
Born, raised and educated in Haverhill, MA, son of the late Charles and Mary Jesionowski, he attended Haverhill schools and graduated from the former Haverhill Trade School in 1955. He went on to attend Coyne Electrical School of Boston and was certified as a Master Electrician employed by Local 103 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
He served as an Airman 2 nd Class in the U.S. Air Force from 1956 until 1960 stationed at Westover Air Force Base as a member of the Crash/Fire Rescue Team and completed deployments to Turkey and North Africa.
Carl was a simple man. He didn't desire much beyond the basics of life. He was a devout Catholic, deeply religious and member of Saint Luke the Evangelist Parish in Plaistow. His great love of family was evident in his relationships with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He lived his life and raised his family the way God intended. He was an amazing man and perfectionist in all he did.
He loved nature, especially bird watching, but his favorite hobby was growing and nurturing plants. He spent endless hours researching, preparing and cultivating his plants, orchids and garden.
Carl enjoyed the simple things in life, whether it was his wife's "liquid gold" spaghetti sauce every Wednesday night or spending time reading about World War One and World War Two. For the past fifty years, Carl spent most of his free time in North Conway, NH, camping or enjoying the "camp" that he and his family built. There he embraced the simple pleasures of nature, hiking, cross country skiing, and spending time with his family around the camp fire. One of his greatest accomplishments was hiking the Eastern Continental Trail. At sixty-two years of age, he and his wife started the Appalachian Trail and over the next ten years, they completed the entire 5400 miles of the Eastern Continental Trail, in six hundred mile increments.
Carl will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his devoted wife of sixty-three years, Theresa (White) Jesionowski, three sons; Carl F. Jesionowski, Jr. of Loxahatchee, FL, James C. Jesionowski and his wife Barbara of Haverhill, Stanley M. Jesionowski and his wife Kendall, of Acworth, GA, three daughters; Debra A. Jesionowski of Plaistow, NH, Doreen M. Baxley and her husband Brian of Youngstown FL, and Rebecca J. Uphold of Londonderry, NH, twelve grandchildren; Jonathan, Nathaniel, Jarek, Zachary, Stanley, Weston, Trent Avery, Nolan, Joshua, Jaymi and Drew, and three great-grandchildren; Sydney, Rowan and Logan, his sisters, Sonia Tatarka and Patricia Richards, his brothers; Robert Jesionowski, Michael Jesionowski and William Jesionowski, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by sisters, Linda Sweeney and Charlene Bizeur, and brothers, Roger and Stanley Jesionowski.
