C. Barry Duhamel, 80 of Seabrook, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 30, 2014.
Barry was born on October 24, 1934 in Andover, MA the son of the late Arthur C. and Lillian P. (Dore) Duhamel. He was raised and educated in Andover and graduated from Central Catholic High School Class of 1952.
He enlisted in the U.S. Army following his high school graduation. He served in active duty and in the Army National Guard for 10 years and was honorably discharged.
Barry worked for Ford Motor Company for 50+ years at various automotive dealerships in Massachusetts.
He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed boating and fishing. He was also active as a parent coaching his boys' sports teams when they were young. He was a big fan of New England sports teams as well.
Barry is survived by his adoring wife of 57 years, Elaine A. (Sampson) Duhamel of Seabrook, NH. His sons; Glenn Duhamel and wife, June of Woburn, MA, Scott Duhamel and girlfriend, Karen French of Seabrook, NH, Jeffrey Duhamel and wife, Cynthia of Plaistow, NH and John Duhamel and wife, Judith of Hampton, NH. Grandchildren; Kristen, Jacqueline, Matthew, Thomas, Danielle, Kayla and Sara Duhamel also survive him.
Family and friends are invited to attend Mr. Duhamel's Life Celebration on Monday, January 5, 2015 from 5 - 8:00 PM at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street (Rt. 121A), Plaistow, NH 03865. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at 10:00 AM at St. Augustine Parish, 35 Essex Street, Andover, MA 01810. Please meet at church if you would like to attend the Mass. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Andover, MA.
