Groveland, MA: Bruno Coppola, Jr, 72, a resident of Groveland for the last twenty-two years and a former resident of Haverhill died on June 13, 2015 at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen.
Born, raised, and educated in Haverhill, son of the late Bruno and Dena (D'Archangelo) Coppola, he attended St. Joseph Grammar School and graduated from Haverhill High School with the Class of 1961. Mr. Coppola served in the United States Army National Guard from 1964 to 1970.
Mr. Coppola was employed as an electric switchboard operator for New England Power, which is now National Grid, from 1967 until his retirement in 2005. He was a member of All Saints Parish and the former St. Rita Parish. An avid sports fan and a lifelong New York Yankees fan, Mr. Coppola enjoyed playing baseball and softball.
He is survived by his two sons, David Coppola and his companion Laurie Jope of East Moriches, NY, and Seth P. Coppola and his fiancé Taron Taylor of Haverhill, two brothers, John A. Coppola and his wife Joanne of Bradford, and Dante Coppola of Groveland, a grandson, Nicholas Coppola, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
There are no calling hours. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, June 18 at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 202 Main Street, Rowley, MA. Burial with the rendering of military honors will follow in Main Street Cemetery, Rowley, MA. Arrangements are under the direction of Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill, MA.
