Obituary

Bruce L. Prunier, cherished husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on Friday April 3, 2026, at Brigham and Women’s Hospital after a courageous battle with a long illness. At 73 years of age, Bruce was surrounded by the warmth and love of his devoted family in his final days.

Born on May 14, 1952, in Shirley, Massachusetts, Bruce was the youngest of seven children born to the late Edward and Mildred (King) Prunier. Growing up in a military family, he experienced a life of travel and adventure, with treasured memories from his time in Germany and California that shaped the fabric of his upbringing.

Bruce found immense joy in boating alongside his beloved wife, Heather, their children, and grandchildren. He would beam with pride when sharing his joy for living on Big Island Pond. He was also a passionate supporter of the New England Patriots and cherished every moment spent with his family. Known for his quick wit and fondness for sharing the most delightfully bad jokes, Bruce’s humor was a comforting presence through both joyful and challenging times.

He leaves behind his loving wife of thirty-one years, Heather Prunier; his devoted children, Scott Prunier, Brianna Prunier and her partner, James Valentine, and Christina Prunier and her fiancé, Denver Ringuette; as well as his beloved grandchildren and a wide circle of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter Renee (Prunier) Wilson and his siblings Howard “Danny” Prunier, Marilyn (Prunier) Sullivan, Edward “Kenny” Prunier, Neil Prunier, Wayne Prunier, and Barbara Ann (Prunier) Aufiero.

Family, friends, and all who knew Bruce are warmly invited to gather for a visitation, with his urn, on Friday April 10, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, at the Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Plaistow, NH, to celebrate his life and share memories.

To honor Bruce, we ask that you go out and make a new memory, tell a joke, take a road trip, or spend time with family honoring the legacy of a man whose love and laughter will forever remain in our hearts.
