Obituary

Salem, NH: Bruce A. "Bill" Bilodeau, 69, of Salem, NH, died on Monday December 16, 2019 at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center in Brighton, MA.

Born in Methuen, MA he was the son of the late Harold and Arleen (Farrow) Bilodeau. Bill grew up in Salem, NH and was a graduate of Salem High School, Class of 1968. After high school Bill entered the U.S. Air Force and proudly served his country for two and a half tours in Vietnam. Upon his return home he began working as a truck driver at Lawrence Tank, DeLuca & Sons, Budweiser, and then his own company, Bilodeau & Sons, while always operating under the radio handle "Dirty Bird".

Bill had a hidden artistic talent. He enjoyed sketching, painting, and building model cars. He also loved watching Family Feud, old war movies, and getting the Sunday newspaper for the comics and crossword puzzle. In his younger years he also enjoyed gardening, but most of all Bill loved spending time with his family. Whether it was sitting around a backyard bon fire with them, watching the Bruins with his sons, or playing with his grandchildren, family was his life's enjoyment.

He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of thirty-nine years, Nancie (Kohlauff) Bilodeau, sons, Shane Bilodeau and his wife Jeni of Newton, NH, Corey Bilodeau of Newton, NH, David Chase and his wife Amber of Sutton, NH, daughters, Tracy Bilodeau of Montgomery, AL, Candice Holley and her husband Derrick of Prattville, AL, and Lisa Chase of Enfield, NH, twelve grandchildren, five great grandchildren, brothers, Glen Bilodeau of Weare, NH, Todd Bilodeau and his wife Teri of Epping, NH, and Donald Roix and his wife Patty of Nottingham, NH, sisters Pam Lundberg and her husband Raymond of Salem, NH, and Diana Lundberg and her husband Kenneth of Pittsburg, NH, and Sue Wood of Salem, NH, widow of his brother, Douglas Roix, his first wife, Cheryl Odom of Montgomery, AL, and longtime best friend, Faris Blancher of Haverhill, MA, as well as several nephews and nieces.
