Brittany J. McCarron, 31, better known as Mac James, of Fayetteville, NC and formerly of Hampton, NH, passed away on January 7, 2021.

Born in Birmingham, AL, the daughter of James M. and Laura (Hurt) McCarron, she relocated with her family to Hampton, NH and attended Winnacunnet High School, graduating with the Class of 2008. Mac also attended Missouri Valley College in Marshall, MO.  Mac proudly served in the U. S. Army at Fort Bragg and was honorably discharged in 2017 as an E4/Specialist.

A nationally-ranked wrestler while in High School and College, Mac was currently a student and a wrestling coach, teaching and coaching at the elementary school level in Fayetteville.  She also enjoyed fishing and spending her free time with friends and family.

Mac will forever be missed and lovingly remembered by her parents, James M. and Laura (Hurt) McCarron of Newton, NH, a  brother, Andrew S. McCarron of Seabrook, NH; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Katie and Trevor Homan of Newmarket, NH and Stephanie and Corey Marshall of Newton, NH; her maternal grandmother, Phyllis Donat of Florida; her maternal grandfather, Michael Allee of Greensboro, TN; a niece, two nephews and several, aunts, uncles and cousins and lastly, Mac's beloved service dog, Frankie. Mac was loved by anyone she met. She had the ability to light up any room she entered and make everyone feel so loved and special. The world will forever be a darker place without her beautiful soul in it.
