Lawrence: Brian Kenneth Pettengill, 62, recently of Lawrence, MA, passed away unexpectedly on his sixty-second birthday, December 23, 2021, at the Exeter Hospital, of complications from Covid.

Born in Haverhill, son of Forrest E. Pettengill, Jr. and the late Joan (Belmer) (Pettengill) Busick, who died in 2020, Brian was raised and educated in Haverhill, graduating Haverhill High School with the Class of 1978 before enlisting in the U.S. Air Force that same year. Serving as a Medical Services Specialist, he was honorably discharged in 1984. He later graduated from the University of New Mexico at Albuquerque with his Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing.

Brian was most recently employed as a Registered Nurse at Accent Healthcare in Methuen, where he became very fond of his clients and previously worked in the Emergency Room at Lawrence General Hospital, Lawrence, MA, Crescent Manor in Bennington, VT., Southwestern Vermont Medical Center, Genesis Healthcare and the Veteran's Administration Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA.

Moving back to the area recently from Philadelphia, Brian enjoyed camping, kayaking, hiking, horseback riding, bike riding, traveling to many places including Japan, the west coast of the United States, Hawaii, The Carolina's and New York. He enjoyed attending wine tastings and had a longtime dream to own a little house on a lake. He also enjoyed entertaining, music, classic movies and watching the Food Network and the Golden Girls on Hallmark Channel with his sister, Terry He was especially thankful for the many family members, co-workers and close friends that he enjoyed spending time with throughout the years.

He is survived by his daughter Danea M. Pettengill, and his son Brian Keith Pettengill, both of New Hampshire, his father Forrest E. Pettengill, Jr. and his wife Carole of Hudson, FL, four brothers, Forrest W. Pettengill and his wife Cindy of Nashua, NH, Darwin Busick, Jr. and his wife Jamie, of Plaistow, NH, Charles Pettengill and his wife Nicole of Sandown, NH and Forrest E. Pettengill, III, of Hudson, FL, three sisters, Theresa Legare and her husband William of Fremont, NH, Carol Infinger and her husband Robert of Minnesota, and Danielle Pettengill-Landis and her husband Mars of North Carolina, his step-father Darwin Busick, Sr., his step-sister, Laurie Ingenluyff and husband, Michael of Hawaii, step-brother, Gregory Busick and wife, Annette of Farmington, NH, and two aunts, Priscilla Belmer and Patricia Pettengill, an uncle, Bruce Pettengill and several nieces, nephews, along with many great nieces and nephews; many of which he most recently has enjoyed getting to know, and cousins, Nicholas Belmer, Joanne Belmer, and Eleni Spada.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, December 30, 2021 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH. His funeral service will follow at 7:15 in the funeral home. Burial will be held on June 4, 2022 at 10:30am at the Brookside Cemetery, 546 Main Street, Boxford MA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to New Creation Healing Center, 80 Route 125, Kingston, NH, 03848.
