IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Bill
Maloney
November 4, 1951 – March 9, 2022
Atkinson, NH: William S. Maloney (Bill) 70, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 9, 2022.
Born in Cambridge, Massachusetts on November 4, 1951, son to the late William Francis Maloney and Ann Ramonas Maloney. Raised and educated in Dedham, he was a graduate of Xaverian Brothers High School and a student of St. Francis College. He was a well versed electronics salesman for many years, retiring from Kamel Peripherals in 2011.
Bill had a broad and diverse set of interests that would be impossible to capture in this column. He was passionate about all things music and enjoyed playing guitar and composing his own songs. Bill loved the outdoors, especially cahooting with the local squirrels, turkeys, and chipmunks in a perpetual battle over birdseed. He was an eternal craftsman and could often be seen working on his motorcycle and all sorts of projects around his beloved home. Bill was active in his community; in recent years planting thousands of daffodils around the streets of Atkinson (he was often referred to as G.O.D - Guardian of Daffodils). He served as President of Atkinson Youth Baseball in the early 2000s and volunteered at the Salvation Army over the holidays. He was ever the sportsman, enjoying baseball, fishing, golf, hockey, and tennis. Most recently he had taken up disc golf, having entered the 70+ year old bracket at an upcoming tournament. Bill had relentless curiosity and a genuine interest in just about everything, always wanting to learn something new every day. There was simply no such thing as a dull moment with Bill Maloney. He had so much to be proud of, perhaps most of all, his three grown children. If you had the pleasure of meeting him, you knew how much. Bill will be dearly missed.
Bill is survived by his wife of 40 years, Christine Bartolini Maloney, his sister Christine O'Connell Rodgers, his two sons William Christopher Maloney and Matthew James Maloney, his daughter Shannon Marie Stubbings, and his granddaughter Lilian Belle Stubbings.
Bill was predeceased by his loyal companion Ruby, "The best dog in the history of the universe".
