Plaistow, NH: Beverly A. (Clough) Foster, 79, a resident of Plaistow since 2005, died Monday, July 24, 2017, at Wingate at Haverhill, following a brief illness.

Born in Medford, Massachusetts, daughter of the late Albert M. and Annie (MacKenzie) Clough, she was raised and educated in Somerville. She was employed for many years as a clerk at J.M. Field's in Medford, and later Mal's Supermarket in Malden. A former longtime resident of Malden, Mrs. Foster resided in Billerica from 1993 until moving to Plaistow twelve years ago.

She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and considered raising her five sons and helping to raise her grandchildren to be her greatest accomplishment. She also enjoyed gardening, bingo, taking cruises with her husband, crocheting and taking care of her pool.

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband of fifty-six years, Gerald M. Foster, four sons, Gerald M. Foster, Jr. and his wife Elaine of Sandown, Stephen A. Foster and his wife Marinez of Manchester, William R. Foster of Derry, and John F. Foster and his wife Donna of Tewksbury, MA,  two brothers, Albert Clough and his wife Cynthia Nyhen of Malden, and David Clough and his wife Laura of Melrose, a sister Joyce McKay of Derry, a sister-in-law, Donna Clough of Wilmington, MA, five grandchildren, Rachelle Young, Leslie Foster, Ashley Foster, Kaley Foster and Michael Foster, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Paul J. Foster, a brother Dennis Clough, a sister Katherine Clough and a brother-in-law, Doug McKay.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mrs. Foster's Life Celebration to be held on Thursday, July 27, 2017 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow. Her funeral will be held on Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. A private family burial service will take place at a later date.  The family requests that memorial donations be made to The American Cancer Society.
