Sandown, NH: Betty A. (Grafing) Gerry, 75, of Sandown and a former resident of Hampstead died on July 7, 2016 at Parkland Medical Center in Derry.

Born on June 24, 1941 in Flandreau, SD, daughter of the late Christian and Victoria (Henderson) Grafing, she was raised and educated in Flandreau and graduated from Flandreau High School.

Mrs. Gerry has lived in the Haverhill area since 1971 and was employed at local shoe factories, including Allen's shoe factory, in her younger years. She had also been employed at Fila Research Company and was most recently employed as a sale associate at Babies "R" Us in Salem, NH.

An old time movie buff, Mrs. Gerry enjoyed puzzles, reading, and watching Harry Potter movies.

She was predeceased by her husband, Richard A. Gerry, Sr. in 1993, and is survived by two sons, Richard A. Gerry, Jr. and William M. Gerry, of Sandown, a daughter, Donna M. Brennan and her husband Timothy of Springfield, NH, three brothers, Richard, Dugan, and Kenny Grafing, a sister, Joyce Jurgens, three grandchildren, Lynda Lahey, James LaJeunesse, and Cody Brennan, a great granddaughter, Dahlia Brennan, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, David, Robert, Harvey, Wallace, Howard, John, and Barron Grafing.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mrs. Gerry's Life Celebration on Monday, July 11 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Plaistow, NH. Her funeral service will take place on Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home followed by burial in West Hampstead Cemetery.
