Obituary


Haverhill: Bertha M. "Memere" (Bergeron) Labbe, 93, a resident of Bradford, for the past several years, died May 2, 2015, at her home, with her family by her side.

Born, raised and educated in Brunswick, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Augustine and Pamela (Bois) Bergeron. She was employed for many years as a waitress, hostess and manager of Bill's Restaurant of Brunswick. She had also worked previously as a shipfitter.

A member of All Saints Parish of Haverhill and a former member of Saint John's Parish of Brunswick, Mrs. Labbe enjoyed crocheting, knitting and most importantly babysitting her grandchildren. great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

The wife of the late Harry Labbe, who died in 1970 and mother of the late Therese Gott, who died in 2007, she will be deeply cherished and sadly missed by grandchildren, Catherine Hennessy and her husband Jay of Bradford, with whom she made her home; Ronald Morhidge of Lisbon Falls, Maine and Kimberly Sarandrea and her husband Loreto of Tennessee, two brothers, Augustine "Gus" Bergeron and Raymond A. Bergeron, of Brunswick, sisters, Irene Hutchinson and Cecile Baxter of Brunswick; Florence Cloutier of Connecticut, and Clemence Mortimer of Arizona, also great grandchildren, Michael, Melissa, Amber, Ashley, Emily, Lacey, Ashlee, and Luca; great-great- grandchildren, Alicia, Ayla, and Hannah and several nieces and nephews.

Calling Hours will be held privately for family at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill, MA. Relatives and friends are invited to her Mass of Christian Burial to be held on Saturday May 9, 2015 at 12 p.m. at All Saints Church, 120 Bellevue Avenue, Haverhill. A private family burial service will take place in Saint Joseph Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to All Saints Food Pantry, 120 Bellevue Avenue, Haverhill, MA.
