Plaistow, NH: Bernard R. "Dick" Senter, 97, of Plaistow, NH, died on March 5, 2019 at his home.
Born in Plaistow, NH, he was the son of the late Charles and Lillian (Dunn) Senter. Bernard was a World War II veteran serving with the 328 th Infantry Yankee Division. He fought in the Battle of the Bulge (1944-1945). After the war, he started Senter Transportation Co., Inc. delivering fuel oil and gasoline from 1959-1986. He was one of the founders of the Plaistow Bank & Trust which has now become TD Bank.
Bernard was a life-time member of the Plaistow Fish and Game Club and the American Legion Carl G. Davis Post 34 in Plaistow. He loved gardening and traveled the world with his late wife, Sally. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
He was pre-deceased by his wife, Sally E. Senter and his daughter, Sandra A. Joray. He is survived by his sister, Jackie Richards of Plaistow, NH; son-in-law, William L. Joray of Plaistow, NH; grandson, William R. Joray of Kingston, NH; step-daughter, Laurel-Ann Marshall of Haverhill, MA and her children, Marianne Marshall-Perkins and Robert A. Marshall of MA and numerous great-grandchildren.
There will be no calling hours. A private family graveside service will be held at Plaistow Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bernard's name to the Carl G.
