Amesbury: Beatrice I. (Descheneau) LeBlanc, 89, a resident of Amesbury since 1961 and formerly of 91 Kimball Rd., died October 5, 2021 in Amesbury.
Born in Haverhill, daughter of the late Eugene and Lillian (Paquette) Descheneau, she attended Saint Joseph Grammar School, the Tilton School and Haverhill High School. As a young woman, she worked as an operator for Pacific Telephone and Telegraph, before taking time off to raise her children. She later returned to the work force and was employed at Western Electric Co., Allen Shoe Co. and Johnson Marker Co.
Mrs. LeBlanc was a member of Holy Family Parish of Amesbury, the former Sacred Hearts Parish of Amesbury and the former Saint Joseph Parish of Haverhill. An avid reader and an accomplished seamstress, she enjoyed gardening, dining out, and keeping in touch with her family and friends on the phone. Recently she mastered texting with her grandchildren and great grandchildren
Predeceased in 2016 by her beloved husband of sixty-six years, Wilfred "Frenchie" LeBlanc, and her infant son, Dennis J. LeBlanc in 1973, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Walter Holak of Kingston, NH, three sons, Joseph W. LeBlanc and his wife Suzanne of Naples, FL, Lee J. LeBlanc and his wife Chandra of Livermore, ME, and Mitchel J. LeBlanc and his significant other Michelle of Amesbury, eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her brothers Robert Descheneau and Eugene Descheneau and sisters Bella Sampson, Lorraine Elee, and Anne Noyes.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service for Mrs. LeBlanc, to be held on Thursday October 14, 2021 at 11 a.m. in Union Cemetery in Amesbury, under the direction of Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill, MA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Mrs. LeBlanc's favorite charities: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN or to Shriner's Hospital for Children, 51 Blossom St., Boston MA.
