Obituary

Haverhill: Beatrice Rose (Lacerte) (Roger) Deveau, 98, a former longtime resident of Bradford, died on January 1st, 2017.

Born and raised in Manchester, NH daughter of Hormidas and Florida (Gagnon) Lacerte, she attended Manchester schools and was a member of St. Josephs Parish in Haverhill, and worked as a Bench Hand at Western Electric for 20 years until she retired. Beatrice was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, and a former CWA AFL-CIO member of Union 1365.

Beatrice enjoyed playing golf for the exercise, and the opportunity to socialize with friends. Her family sends their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Wingate at Haverhill, and Compassus Hospice, for their loving care and compassion in her time of need.

She is survived by her brother Bertrand Lacerte of Bradford, MA and sister Rita Comeau of Plaistow, NH as well as several nieces and nephews, and was predeceased by her first husband Paul Raymond Roger in 1962, and second husband Dennis Joseph Deveau in 2003, brother Roland Lacerte and sister Lucille  Easties.

Relatives and friends are welcome to attend Calling hours from 11:00am-12:00pm at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway Haverhill, MA 01832 with her Funeral Mass at All Saints Church at 12:30pm on January 5 th , 2017 with graveside services immediately following at St. Joseph cemetery.
