Plaistow: Beatrice J. (Collins) Brown, age 91, and a sixty-one year resident of Plaistow, died Saturday July 27, 2019 at the Rockingham County Nursing Home, in Brentwood.

Born in Ipswich, MA on December 4, 1927, she was the twin sister of the late Barbara Glover, who died in 2018. She was raised in Plaistow by her sister and brother-in-law, Albertine (Collins) and Truman Sargent, attending the Pollard School and graduating from Haverhill High School with the Class of 1946.

Mrs. Brown began her working career in the wood heel shops of Haverhill and later was employed for many years as an assembler and solderer at Raytheon.  She was a longtime member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and the Newton Junction Baptist Church. Accomplished in quilting, sewing, ceramics and stained glass, she also enjoyed cruises and square dancing as a member of Carriage Set Square Dancing Club.

Predeceased by her husband, Charles D. Brown, Jr in 2002, her son Charles D. "Danny" Brown, III in 2000, her daughter Wanda Leone in 2018 and all of her many siblings, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by three daughters, Linda Daggett of Newton, NH, Sharon Turcotte of Kingston, NH, and Laurie Leeman and her husband Roger of Danville, NH, ten grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mrs. Brown's Life Celebration to be held on Saturday, August 3, 2019 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116, Main St., Plaistow, NH.
