Barry B. Moore, 98, a resident of Danville, NH, died on Thursday, August 29, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Judy (Harrison) Moore who passed away in 2018.
He was born in Waterville, ME on August 13, 1926 and was the son of the late Barry and Bertha (Gagne) Moore.
Barry was raised and educated in Manchester-by-the-Sea. After high school he enlisted in the United States Navy at the age of 17 and proudly served his country during WW11. Barry was employed at Hammond Castle in Gloucester, MA as a driver for John Hammond. He later worked at Hi-Liner Boat Co. in Ipswich where he was a foreman for building and design and M.A.T. Inc. in Amesbury. Barry later started his own family business. He operated Reinforced Plastics Inc. and NEKTON Inc. both in Danville, NH. He designed and patented the "Z wing" downrigger fishing accessory. After his retirement he spent his time caring for his trout pond, hunting, fishing and enjoying his family. Barry was a member of the Kingston VFW and the Rock Church in Sandown.
He is survived by his children Shawn M. Moore and his wife Susan of New Durham, NH, Kristina Merrill of Salisbury, MA, Sandra Baker and her husband Robert of Rolling Prairie, IN, Joni Boggiatto and her husband John of Plaistow, NH, Kimberly Kimball of Raymond NH, and Bruce Johnson and his wife Courtney of Danville, NH, his many grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He leaves behind a large extended family.
Barry was sadly predeceased by his siblings Raymond Moore, Robert Moore and Richard Moore and his son-in-law Bruce Merrill.
Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Friday, September 6, 2024 from 4pm – 7pm. His funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 7 at 11am at the Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home 116 Main St. Plaistow, NH. Interment will be held privately.
