North Andover, MA:  Barbara A. (Wood) Wade, 87, of North Andover, MA and formerly of Hampstead, NH and Haverhill, MA, died on April 9, 2018 at the Prescott House Nursing Home, North Andover.

Born in Lynn, MA, the daughter of the late Goodwin and Marion (Cloutier) Wood, she was raised and educated in Marblehead, MA, attending Marblehead High School and graduating with the Class of 1948.  She was the owner and operator of the Princeton House in Lowell, MA , and the Highland, Ellen James and Elm Hill Nursing Homes in the Boston area.

A member of the former Hampstead Congregational Church, she enjoyed traveling, entertaining, cooking and dining out.

The wife of the late Richard W. Wade, who died on April 25, 2008, she is survived by two daughters, Barbara Kiernan and her husband, Dana of Marblehead, MA and Deborah Wade and her husband, Tim Swinerton of Hampstead, NH; two sisters, Judy Corvino of Wayne, NJ and Sandra Avery of Missouri; five grandchildren, Wade Flick, Evan Swinerton, Page Swinerton, Jennifer Gaudette and Julie Kiernan and two great grandchildren, Amelia Gaudette and Cole Goodwin.
