Obituary


Atkinson, NH: Barbara T. "Peachie" (Arsenault) Sprague, 78, a resident of Atkinson for the past eight years and a former longtime resident of Haverhill, MA, died on February 14, 2016 at Hannah Duston Healthcare Center in Haverhill.

Born in Haverhill on April 14, 1937, daughter of the late Arthur and Elizabeth (Leahy) Arsenault, she was raised in Haverhill and attended St. Joseph Grammar School and graduated from St. James High School with the Class of 1954.

Mrs. Sprague was a member of All Saints Parish and the former St. Joseph Parish. An avid fan of all Boston Sports Teams, she enjoyed "Birthday Trivia", knitting, arts and crafts, and watching Wheel of Fortune.

She was predeceased by her son, John Sprague in 2000, and is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Richard "Spike" and Nancy Sprague of Haverhill, two daughters, Sheri Picone and her husband Rick of Atkinson, and Renee Sprague and her wife Deb Brown of Long Island, NY, a daughter-in-law, Jennifer Sprague of Kingston, NH, seven grandchildren, Sean Sprague, Jenelle Sprague, Katie and Meghan McLaughlin, Amy McLaughlin and her fiancé Derek McVichnick, Danielle Stone and her husband Liam, and Jennifer Picone and her fiancé Joe L'Ecuyer, great grandchildren, Lily, Jude, Jacob, Jeremy, Selah, and Blake, siblings, Joseph Arsenault and his fiancé Lori Strauser of Bradford, Mary Arsenault of Haverhill, and Kathy Valliere and her husband Ray of Haverhill, and nephews Bill and Ed Mahoney, Joseph, Michael and John Arsenault.

The family would like to thank the staff and nurses in the Pentucket Wing at Hannah Duston Healthcare Center for the wonderful care and comfort provided to Peachie and her "entourage" during her brief stay.

Funeral services are private and are under the direction of Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill, MA.
