Haverhill – Barbara M. Kuzmitski, 77, passed away Thursday, February 1, 2024 after a short stay at Hannah Duston Healthcare in Haverhill following a period of failing health.

Born August 5, 1946, in Haverhill, she was the daughter of the late Konstantin and Antoinette (Lebor) Kuzmitski. Barbara lived in Haverhill for 66 years prior to moving to Ipswich. She was a graduate of Haverhill High School, and the Chandler School for Women. She worked in management for the Internal Revenue Service her whole career and retired after 38 years of service.

In her spare time Barbara loved to travel. Hawaii was her favorite destination where she spent most of her time with her Hawaiian relatives. She also donated her time after retirement as the Massachusetts Liasson for the Upper Northeast Regional Director of the Guillain-Barre Foundation.

Members of her family include her brother Richard J. Kuzmitski and his wife Frances of Ipswich, MA; three nephews Dan and wife Veronica of York, ME; Todd and wife Nicole of Haverhill, MA; and Keith and wife Kristin of Plaistow, NH; her grandnephews Harris, Corbin, and Kole, and a grandniece Isabelle and many cousins on the Lebor and Kuzmitski family.

Family and friends are invited to visit Tuesday, February 13, 2024 from 10 AM to 12 PM at the Berube – Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill, MA. A funeral service will follow at 12:15 PM in the chapel of the funeral home. Burial will follow in the St. Patrick's Cemetery in Haverhill.
