Fremont, NH: Barbara H. (Burns) Jones, 85, of Fremont and a former longtime resident of Atkinson and Seabrook, NH, died peacefully on Thursday, July 15, 2021, at Colonial Poplin Nursing Home.

Born in Haverhill, Massachusetts, daughter of the late Clarence and Doris  (Jalbert) Burns and attended Haverhill public schools and Haverhill High School.

She first worked for several years at Western Electric Co of North Andover and later as the manager of the Business Office of the Haverhill Country Club until her retirement.

A devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Mrs. Jones enjoyed traveling, especially a roundtrip cross country tour of the United States, and trips to Ireland and Alaska. She enjoyed playing Bingo and "the Slots" at Foxwoods.

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her daughter and son-in-law, Carol (Mirandette) and Ray Fournier of Sandown, a grand-daughter Melanie Thompson of Sandown, a grandson Scott Fournier and his wife Heather and great-grandchildren Ivy and Paxton of Sandown, a sister Elizabeth Burrill of Haverhill, and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Richard Mirandette, a brother William Burns, and a sister Marilyn Darbe.

Relatives and friends are invited to her graveside service which will be held in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Hilldale Avenue, Haverhill on Friday, July 23, 2021, at 10 a.m. and under the direction of Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home of Plaistow.
