Barbara M. (Weese) Haynes, 75, a resident of Atkinson since 1972, died Friday at Memorial Hospital in North Conway, after being stricken ill, while on vacation.

Born in Grafton, West Virginia, daughter of the late Donald and Effie Mae (Taylor) Weese, she was raised and educated in Grafton until moving with her family to South Boston, Massachusetts, where she attended South Boston High School.

Mrs. Haynes was employed as a teacher's aide by the Timberlane Regional School District, working primarily at the Pollard School in Plaistow until her retirement in 2002.

An avid Red Sox and Bruins fan and a devoted grandmother, she was known affectionately as "Beam-Beam", and enjoyed attending her grandson's hockey games and grand-daughter's soccer games. She also enjoyed sewing and crafts, and spending time with her family in North Conway.

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband of forty-eight years, Albert T. Haynes, a daughter and son-in-law, Karin M. and Christopher J. Kuchar of Plaistow, a son Albert T. Haynes, Jr. of Danville and his significant other Bridget Moynihan, three grandchildren, Alexis Haynes, Tyler C. Kuchar and Sofia M. Kuchar, a sister Linda Bellair of West Virginia, a brother Larry Weese of Texas and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH. Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by burial in Atkinson Cemetery.
