Newton, NH:  Barbara A. Demers, 86, of Newton, NH, died on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at home.

Born in Haverhill, MA, she was the daughter of the late Caroline (Massa) Hamel.  Barbara attended Haverhill High School and graduated with the Class of 1956.  In her younger years, she worked as a Bench Hand for Essex Products, and she enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Demers, a son and his wife, Mike and Natascha Demers of Nashua, NH; three grandchildren, Trent, Emmie and Miles; and good friends, Robin and Carl Callahan.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Barbara's calling hours on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, from 4 to 6 PM at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH.  A funeral service will follow at 6:15 PM in the chapel of the funeral home.  Burial will be private and take place at a later date.
