Barbara M. (Anderson) Comeau, 82, ofAmesbury, formerly of Methuen and Gile St. and Lambert Ave. in Haverhill, died Sunday, April 29, 2012, at Anna Jaques Hospital, Newburyport, MA.



Born and raised in Amesbury, MA, daughter of the late Christian and Ethel (Burrill) Anderson, she attended Amesbury schools.As a young woman, she was a laundry worker.She later worked as a Nurse's Aid for local Haverhill nursing homes and retired from Medtronics.



Mrs. Comeau was a member of All Saints Church, Haverhill, and the Vic Geary Center, Plaistow, NH.Shewas an avid Red Sox fan who enjoyed gardening and playing bingo.



The wife of the late Albert C. Comeau, who died in 2005, she is survived by three sons and daughter-in-law, Duane A. & Joanne Comeau of Sandown, NH, Mark D. Comeau and Albert C. Comeau, Jr., both of Haverhill; four daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra J. and Stephen Lucia of Kingston, NH, Nancy M. Handy and her fianc�, Glenn Guillemette of Hampstead, NH, Jean M. and Peter Lendall of Peabody and Renee J. Comeau of Leominster; two sisters, Bertha Wolfson and Lois Giuffrida, both of Exeter, NH; twelve grandchildren, Christine Heger, Raymond Boucher, Matthew Boucher, Kate Lucia, Meaghan Yogeeswaran, Dennis Comeau, Stacey Breau, Andrea Comeau, Laurie Wilkins, Amanda Comeau, Knox Lendall and Erica Lendall; eight great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.



She was pre-deceased by a son, David A. Comeau, who died in 2002, and a sister, Beatrice Brown.



Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday, May 2, 2012, from 4 to 8 PM at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill, MA.Her funeral will begin on Thursday, May 3, 2012, at 9 AM from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in All Saints Church, Haverhill.Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Haverhill.
