Sandown, NH: Arthur A.  "Skip" Ryan, 78, a resident of Sandown since 1984, died peacefully on May 10, 2022, at his home, surrounded by his family.

Born and raised in Lynn, Massachusetts, son of the late Arthur and Laura (Phelan) Ryan, he graduated from Don Bosco Technical High School of Boston with the Class of 1962.

A carpenter and wood worker all of his life, Skip began his career as a member of the Carpenters and Joiners Union and was later employed by several building contractors in Massachusetts.

A former resident of Haverhill, MA., and Plaistow, NH, before moving to Sandown in 1984, he enjoyed camping, boating, snowmobiling, mountain climbing and most of all operating his tractor around the yard on different projects with Kelley.

He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his devoted wife of fifty-five years, together for 62 years Lesley (Dornheim) Ryan, a son Sean M. Ryan of Atkinson, a daughter, Kelley A. Moran and her significant other Christopher A. Schena of Methuen, MA, a sister Diane Darcy and her husband Neil of Peabody, five grandchildren who referred to him as Bumpa, Kyle A. Ryan, Ryan B. Moran, Bayne R. Greenwood, Kayla E. Ryan, and Abigail N. Ryan, a daughter-in-law Kristen Ryan and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Daniel Ryan and a sister, Sandra Schriefer.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Skip's Life Celebration to be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow. His funeral service will follow at 12:30 p.m. in the funeral and burial in Center Cemetery, Sandown, NH.
