Arlene M. (Roy) Allard, 88, of Haverhill, died on February 19, 2016 at Penacook Place in Haverhill.
Born on December 7, 1927, daughter of the late Evelyn (Comeau) Roy, Mrs. Allard was born, raised, and educated in Haverhill and attended St. James High School.
She was employed for many years as a sales clerk at Bornes' Cards Shop on Merrimack Street in Haverhill and had also been employed as a lunch lady in the St. James School Cafeteria.
A devoted grandmother, Mrs. Allard was a member of St. James Parish and was a former member of the Court St. James of the Catholic Daughters of America. She also enjoyed bowling.
She was predeceased by her husband, Elmer "Buddy" Allard in 2012 and her son, Paul W. Allard in 1981, and is survived by two daughters, Nancy A. Elliott and her husband, John of Haverhill, and Patricia J. Albanese of Haverhill; a sister, Violet Lapierre and her husband, Lucien of Bradford, five grandchildren, John Elliott, Jr., Ross Elliott, Stacey Moore, Mark Albanese, and Deonna (Allard) Fortson, eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son-in-law, Robert "Rocky" Albanese.
Relatives and friends may call on Monday, February 22, 2016 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Plaistow, N.H. Her funeral service will take place on Monday at 1:15 p.m. in the funeral home followed by burial in St. James Cemetery, Haverhill.
