Obituary

Haverhill: Antonio Teixeira, 91, of Haverhill, died suddenly in Haverhill on December 18, 2018.

Born, raised and educated in Lowell, son of the late John and Mary (Jordan) Teixeira, he served in the U.S. Army as a Corporal during the Korean Conflict.

Mr. Teixeira was employed for thirty-five years at Raytheon, where he was part of the group that worked on the Patriot Missile Program during Operation Desert Storm, and retired as a Group Leader in the Cable Department.

Mr. Teixeira was a member of All Saints Parish of Haverhill and the former St. Lucy's Parish of Methuen. He enjoyed spending time at The Haverhill Senior Citizens Center and at the Plaistow Fish and Game Club for Tuesday Night Bingo. He was a devoted sports fan and was an avid Red Sox and New England Patriots fan. He also enjoyed watching re-runs of "Gunsmoke" on television and traveling to Las Vegas, Aruba, and Venezuela.

He is survived by two daughters, Donna Ely and her companion Richard Gannon of Rowley, and Christine Bomil and her husband Robert of Lowell, a son Anthony Teixeira and his companion Jen Sauer of Randolph, grandchildren, Jennifer (Bassett) and her husband Mark Latulippe of S. Windsor, CT, William Ely and his companion Theresa Orescovich of Reading and Kristen Palm and her husband Carl of Canfield, Ohio, Robert Bomil, Jr., Kerry Bomil, Julie Teixeira and Katie Teixeira, four great-grandchildren, Jack Latulippe, Benjamin Palm, Eleanor Palm and Anthony Teixeira, Jr.  He will also be missed by his many friends at the Haverhill Citizens Center, the Plaistow Fish and Game Club and the fellow tenants of Churchill Courts, where he lived for thirty-two years.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill. His funeral service will follow at 4:15 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to The Veterans Administration or to St. Jude Children's Hospital, Memphis, TN.
