Anthony Zannini, age 71, passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Janet (Giannotti) Zannini with whom he shared 45 years of marriage.

He was born in Medford, MA on August 4, 1952 and was the son of the late John and Maria (DiSalvo) Zannini.

Known to his friends as Tony from the time he was a young child, he wanted to play guitar. He enjoyed sharing his talent and started doing gigs and teaching in his late teens. After graduating from Medford High School, he attended Berklee College of Music. Over the years he played with many bands in the greater Boston area and especially loved jazz and classical.

Besides his loving wife, Anthony is survived by his nieces and nephews, Amy Collette and her husband Jay of East Hampstead, NH, his great nephew David MacQuesten from Lowell, MA, Jonnie Zannini of Haverhill, MA, Carina Sherman and her husband Andy, great nephew Theo of Derry, NH, and Gianni Giannotti of King of Prussia, PA, his sister-in-law Jeanne Union and her husband Bob of Westford, MA, his brothers-in-law Joseph Giannotti and his wife Sharon of Bear, DE, and John Amari and his wife Debbie of Knightdale, North Carolina and their children Laura Govostes and family and John Amari Jr. and his family, Robin Irwin and her family.

He was sadly predeceased by his loving brother John and his wife Nancy.

Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, January 28, 2024 from 12:30 – 2:30 at Brookside Chapel and Funeral Home 116 Main Street, Plaistow, NH. His celebration of life will follow at 3pm. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Manchester Community Music School at mcmusicschool.org.
