Sandown: Anthony M. "Tony" Mura, 57, a resident of Sandown since 1994, died January 7, 2022, at his home.

Born in Queens, NY, son of the late Bruno and Florence (Pappas) Mura, he moved to Haverhill with his family as a child and attended local schools. He was a member of the Haverhill High School Class of 1983 and received his Associates Degree in Accounting from Northern Essex Community College and later his Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Franklin Pierce College. He was presently employed as a manager with the Massachusetts Department of Revenue.

A member of the West Congregational Church of Haverhill, where he served as an usher, Tony was also a member of the NRA, The Chester Rod and Gun Club, The Republican Committee of Sandown and served as treasurer of Troop 268 of the Boy Scouts of America.

Tony was a man with a great sense of humor and devotion to his family. He was an expert marksman and also enjoyed Ballroom Dancing.

He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of thirty-two years, Leigh A. (Dickey) Mura, two sons, Nicholas A. Mura and his wife Andrea of Niantic, CT, and Hayden A. Mura of Denver, CO, two daughters, Elizabeth C. Mura and her longtime companion Michael Strout of Dover, NH, and Olivia R. Mura of Sandown, a brother John P. Mura of Haverhill, a grandson Cooper J. Dorisca and nieces, nephews and cousins. He was eagerly awaiting the birth of his second grandchild.

Relatives and friends are invited to Tony's Funeral Service to be held on Sunday, January 16, 2022 at 2 p.m. in the West Congregational Church, 767 Broadway, Haverhill, MA.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Camp Fireside, 86 Pond Hill Road, Barrington, NH 03825.
