Anne Ford Whitlock passed away on January 23rd in Lawrence, MA. Born in Elsmere, N.Y., daughter of the late Patrick J. Sr. and Ellen Keane Ford, she lived in Spring Hill, Florida for 26 years after moving there from Whitesboro, NY. She recently moved to Lawrence, Massachusetts to be closer to her children.
She was predeceased by brothers, Thomas P., Patrick J. Jr., Joseph, William and sisters - Sister Ellen Rose, SNJM, Sister Patricia Clare, SNJM, Sister Mary Kevin, CSJ., Patricia Ford Keenan, and nephews Patrick J. III and Christopher Ford.
She will be much missed by children James A. Jr. MD (Laura), Ellen Peterson, Michael (Mary), Lynne Whitlock (Tim), Colleen Whitlock and Daniel (Magda) as well as grandchildren Leah and Brenda Peterson, Lauren Conza; Ellen Mary, Rob, Joel, Dennis, Dylan and Mariah Whitlock and two great grandchildren, Hunter Peterson-Gilmore and Caroline Conza.
A graduate of The College of St. Rose in Albany, NY, she was a social worker for Albany County prior to becoming a mother. A lifelong love of infants and children led her to foster care for infants while she was still a young mother. A devout Roman Catholic, she was a member of St. Joan of Arc Church in Spring Hill, FL, its council of Catholic Women, and Martha's Helpers. She worked as volunteer for over 12 years at Daystar Hope Center, the Spring Hill Friends of the Library and the Hernando Irish Club - all in Spring Hill, FL.
There will be a private gravesite burial service at St. Agnes Cemetery in Menands, NY at a future date.
