Atkinson, NH: Anne E. (Chase) Gottwald, 90, a resident of Atkinson, NH and a wintertime resident of Sarasota, FL, passed away on November 25, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born on January 18, 1924 in New Waterford, Nova Scotia, daughter of the late John and Effie (McKinnon) Chase, she attended local Canadian schools.

Mrs. Gottwald spent many years living in Massachusetts and was employed as a secretary for ITT, until her retirement in 1978. Following her retirement, Anne and her late husband, Alexander, moved to Holiday, FL to enjoy retirement together. They also spent summers in Nova Scotia.

A member of St. Anne's Parish in Hampstead, Mrs. Gottwald enjoyed reading, traveling, going on cruises, playing cards, and the occasional trip to a casino.

She was predeceased by her husband of sixty years, Alexander Gottwald, and is survived by three sons, Wayne Gottwald and his wife Cheryl of Atkinson, Derrick Gottwald and his wife Patsy of Naples, FL, and Kevin Gottwald of Sarasota, FL, eight grandchildren, Kimberly DeChane and her husband Pete, John Gottwald, Krystal Gottwald and James Delaney, Anna-Lisa Gottwald, Alex Gottwald, Brandon O'Neal and Mark O'Neal, and six great-grandchildren, Samantha, Keith, Sebastian, Allora, Emily, and Darrin.

There are no calling hours. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mrs. Gottwald's Funeral Mass on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anne Church, 26 Emerson Avenue, Hampstead, NH. A reception in the Church Hall will follow. A private family burial service will take place in New Port Richey, FL.
