Groveland: Annabelle R. Berard, 91, a former longtime resident of River Pines, died Christmas Eve, at Maplewood Center in Amesbury.

Born in Osceola, PA, daughter of the late William and Virginia (Marcoux) Berard, she was raised by her grandparents, Emma and Frank Marcoux in Groveton, NH. along with her cousin, Robert Houle. She attended local schools and graduated from Groveton High School.

Miss Berard lived in Springfield, Massachusetts for most of her life and was employed as an assembler at Springfield Wire Co until her retirement. She relocated twenty seven years ago to be near her family in Groveland and was a member of Saint Patrick's Parish. She enjoyed crocheting and playing the piano, crossword puzzles, trips to Quebec, Canada and throughout the state of New Hampshire.

She is survived by her cousin, who was like a brother to her, Robert Houle and his wife Theresa of Groveland and their family, as well as several other cousins.

Relatives and friends may call on Sunday, December 28, 2014 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill. Her funeral will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home followed by burial in Riverview Cemetery, Groveland.
