Atkinson, N H: Anna A. (Wenzel) St. Onge, 78, a resident of Atkinson since 1971, died Thursday evening, May 31, 2018 at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen.
Born in Lawrence, MA, and raised and educated in Methuen, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Ona (Charis) Wenzel. She was employed for twenty years as an assembler and bench hand at Western Electric Co., AT&T Technologies and finally Lucent Technologies, from where she retired in 2005.
A former resident of Plum Island from 1964 until 1971, Mrs. St. Onge was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and The Communication Workers of America AFL-CIO. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed doll making, crocheting, roller coasters, fishing, working on her computer and traveling with her husband and children when they were younger.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband of fifty-six years, John W. St. Onge, a son, Steven J. St. Onge of Atkinson, two daughters, Cheryl A. Bober and her husband Ken of Whitinsville, MA, and Sharon M. St. Onge of Epping, two brothers, Robert Wenzel of Holyoke, MA and Peter Wenzel of New Hampshire, a sister, Joyce Harris of Methuen, two grandchildren, Paige and Hailey Bober, and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mrs. St. Onge's Life Celebration to be held on Monday, June 4, 2018 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main ST., Plaistow. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday morning at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home with burial to follow in Atkinson Cemetery.
