Hampstead, NH: Anita A. (Arsenault) Duval, 79, of Hampstead and a former longtime resident of Haverhill, MA, died Sunday evening, September 2, 2018 at the Rockingham County Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Brentwood.
Born in Dieppe, Province of New Brunswick, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Edmund and Matilda (Meunier) Arsenault. She moved to Haverhill as a young woman and first worked in the local shoe industry and later as a line worker at Bailey Manufacturing. She was last employed in the housekeeping department of the Anna Jacques Hospital in Newburyport and had also worked previously in the same capacity at the former Saint Joseph Parish rectory in Haverhill.
A resident of Hampstead since 2002, Mrs. Duval was a longtime member of All Saints Parish and the former Saint Joseph Parish of Haverhill. She enjoyed trips to New Brunswick every summer and being a wintertime resident of Zephyr Hills, Florida. She also enjoyed playing Bingo and dining out for lunch.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her longtime significant other William D. Blinn of Hampstead, three sons , Dennis Duval and his wife Bridgette of Bloomington, MN, Calvin J. Duval and his significant other Brenda Santacroce of Northwood, NH, Tracy P. Duval and his wife (Lenny) of Pennsylvania, a daughter, Cheryl Greenwood and her husband Dana of Hampstead, three brothers, Edmond Arsenault and Emerie Arsenault, both of Haverhill, MA, and Charles Arsenault of Toronto, Canada, three sisters, Doris Walker of New Brunswick, Imelda Mowbray of Haverhill, MA and Diane Colman of Newton, NH, nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Lucien J. Duval, Jr. in 1973, her son Lucien J. Duval III, in 2000, her brother Joseph Duval, and sisters, Josephine LeBlanc, Jeannette O'Brien, Lorraine Batts, and Agnes Duval.
Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, September 6, 2018 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH. Her funeral will be held on Friday at 9 a.m. from the funeral with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in All Saints Church, Haverhill.
