Haverhill: Angelina R. (Delgrosso) Banks, 89, formerly of Mission Towers and a former longtime resident of River Street, died Sunday, October 4, 2015 at Penacook Place.
Born and raised in Haverhill, daughter of the late Nicholas and Elvira (Pagnottaro) Delgrosso, she attended Haverhill Public Schools and Haverhill High School and worked many years as a stitcher in the local shoe industry, until her retirement.
A member of All Saints Parish of Haverhill and the former Saint Rita's Parish, Mrs. Banks most enjoyed time spent with family and friends listening and talking on matters that were important to her, her family and her friends. She also loved to shop and dance. She was a loving wife and very devoted to her extended family.
She was predeceased by her husband of forty-one years, Chester Banks in 2004 and will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sister-in-law Cecile Delgrosso of Haverhill, three nephews, Joseph N. Delgrosso, Jr. and his wife Gloria of Haverhill, David A. Del Grosso and his wife Kathy of Oro Valley, Az, and Dennis A. Del Grosso and his wife Gloria of Phoenix, AZ, two nieces, Deborah A. Fortunati and her husband Stefano of Sangemini, Italy, and Jody A. Fowler and her husband David of Newburyport, also several great nieces and nephews and one great grand nephew.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mrs. Banks' Life Celebration to be held on Wednesday morning, October 7, 2015 from 9:30 to 10:30AM at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11AM in All Saints Church, 120 Bellevue Avenue, Haverhill, with burial in Saint Patrick's Cemetery.
