North Andover, MA: Andrew N. Ordway, 68, of North Andover, MA and a former longtime resident of Haverhill, died on January 6, 2016 in Plymouth, MA.
Born and raised in Haverhill, son of the late Richard J. and Mary (Dacey) Comeau, Andrew attended Haverhill Public Schools and the John T. Berry School in Middleton. Andrew worked as a nurse's aide at Glynn Memorial Hospital for many years.
A member of All Saints Parish, Andrew was an avid Red Sox, Patriots, and Bruins fan. He was an avid bowler in the league at All Saint Bowling Lanes and was the recipient of numerous trophies. He also enjoyed collecting stamps and baseball cards and riding his bicycle around the Merrimack Valley, especially in Haverhill, North Andover, and Lawrence.
He is survived by his sister, Sandra Holmes-Pickett and her husband Alexander of Plymouth, MA, his nieces and nephews, Christine M. Holmes, Patricia Ann Holmes, Justin C. Holmes, Kyle White, also Dave Ricker of Salem, NH, a good and supportive friend, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family would like to acknowledge and thank all of those people who supported Andrew and his family following the recent theft of his bicycle.
Relatives and friends may call on Monday, January 11 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill. His funeral will begin on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. in All Saints Church, 120 Bellevue Avenue, Haverhill, MA. Burial will take place in the spring in Hillside Cemetery.
