Sandown, NH: Andrea M. (Sayers) Ange, Ed.D., 50, a resident of the Town of Sandown for the past thirty years, died January 6 at a hospice house in Haverhill, MA.

Born in Ames, Iowa on May 19, 1967, daughter of the late JoLynne (Reagin)(Sayers) Charland, she was raised and educated in Independence, Missouri and moved to the east coast at the age of thirteen.

A woman who had a lifelong thirst for knowledge, Andrea earned her Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts from Granite State College and a Master's Degree in Public Administration from the University of New Hampshire. She also earned a Certificate of Advance Graduate Studies from Plymouth State College and culminated her educational career with a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Southern New Hampshire University in 2016.

Since 2007, Andrea has been employed as the Library Media Specialist and Teaching Director of Library Services at Campbell High School, Litchfield School District, Litchfield, NH. She was also a member of the Adjunct faculty of SNHU, teaching adult education classes at the Exeter campus.

An avid reader and devoted teacher, Andrea was a recipient of the 2012 School Librarian of the Year Award as well as the New Hampshire EDies Award for Excellence in Education. She also enjoyed spending time at the beach and hunting for seaglass.

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband of twenty-nine years, James A. "Jim" Ange, three daughters, Heather L. Paquette of Sandown, Laurel C. Ange of Manchester and Holly E. Ange of Middlebury, VT., two sisters, Angela Shivers of Missouri, Alicia Hall of Maine, three step-sisters, Shannon Hebert and Beth Hartford of Maine and Crystal Weber of Florida, three grandchildren, Kyla, Noah and Leia, several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and cousins and a special aunt, Terry Starr of Lee's Summit, MO.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Andrea's Life Celebration to be held on Friday, January 12, 2018 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH. Her funeral service will follow at 7:15 p.m. at the funeral home.
