Alice E. Lewis 76, of Atkinson, NH died Sunday, July 2, 2017 peacefully in her home being cared for by her family and dedicated caregivers. Born in North Andover, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Warren and Ethel (Carey) Sargent.
Alice was employed by Lewis Builders in Atkinson for many years before her retirement. She was an avid horse woman throughout life; riding, boarding, training and racing Standardbred horses. She enjoyed her farm, caring for her horses and cows, taking long daily walks with her dog Cleo, enjoyed reading and taking walks on the beach.
Alice is survived by her daughter Christine, and her husband Harold Morse of Atkinson, her son Daniel and his wife Karen Lewis of Atkinson, four grandchildren, Jonathan and Elizabeth Morse of Atkinson, and Rachel and Daniel Lewis of Atkinson, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Alice will be sadly missed by her family and dear friends.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Peter Lewis, her brother David Sargent, and her sister Jane E. Jean.
Arrangements are private at the request of the family.
