Newton, NH: Alice E. (Lamb) Baker, 88, of Newton died on March 7, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Rumford, ME, daughter of the late Dwight and Gertrude (Perrin) Lamb, following her graduation from high school she worked as an inspector for Western Electric for many years before her retirement.

She was a member of St. Luke the Evangelist Parish at Mary Mother of the Church, Newton.

She was predeceased by her husband George D. Baker, Jr., and is survived by her son and daughter in law, Bruce L. and Sheryl Baker of Chester, NH, a daughter, Catherine B. Lovett of Newton, NH, a brother and sister-in-law, George and Earlene Lamb of Wilton, ME, a sister, Georgia Hersey of Livermore, ME, three grandchildren, Mark Baker, Donald "DJ" Lovett, Jr., and Shane Lovett, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Dwight Lamb, Jr., her sister, Clara Landry, and a grandson, Daniel Baker.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Mary Mother of the Church, 12 Amesbury Road, Newton, NH. A private burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Rockingham VNA and Hospice, 137 Epping Road, Exeter, NH 03833.
