Haverhill: Alice A. (Cote) Ferronetti, a native and lifelong resident of Haverhill, died Wednesday evening, June 30, 2021 at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen.
Daughter of the late Arthur and Irene (LaPlante) Cote, she attended Saint Joseph Grammar School and was a member of the St. James High School of 1952. She first worked at the former Western Electric Co, and for most of her working career as a bookkeeper for Eastern Canvass Co. of Haverhill, which later became Eastpak.
A longtime member of Sacred Hearts Parish of Bradford, Mrs. Ferronetti was a devoted, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed cross stitching and bunka, and traveling, especially fall trips to the White Mountains to take in the New England foliage. She was also an avid reader and enjoyed completing crossword puzzles and playing card games, most notably Rummy.
Predeceased on March 5, 2021 by her loving husband of sixty-four years, Gerald F. Ferronetti, she will be sadly missed by sons and daughters-in-law, Doug and Robyn Ferronetti of Dracut, Ron and Sherry Ferronetti of Newton, NH, and Tom Ferronetti of Standish, ME, a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and John Fiorella of Atkinson, NH, sisters, Bernadette "Bunny" Howard of Hyannis, Lucille Fredette of North Carolina and Virginia Bergeron of Haverhill, also eleven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Stephen, Paul, Armand, Raymond and Gilbert Cote, and sisters, Lillian, Anita, Theresa, Lorraine and Mary Rose.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Life Celebration to be held on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH. Her funeral will begin on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at 8: 45 a.m. from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Sacred Hearts Church, South Main St., Bradford. Burial will follow in Saint Patrick's Cemetery, Haverhill. Donations in her name may be made to The American Heart Association.
