Haverhill, MA: Alice M. (Bourque) (Arsenault) LaFotaine, 92, of Haverhill died on October 15, 2013 at Wingate Nursing Home in Haverhill.
Born in Moncton, New Brunswick, daughter of the late Peter and Elizabeth (Arsenault) Bourque, she came to the United States and received her citizenship in 1952.
Mrs. LaFontaine worked as a Floor Lady in the local shoe industry. She was a member of All Saints Parish and enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother and her first priority was serving her family.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Maxime Arsenault and her second husband, Richard LaFontaine. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Donald W. and Catherine Arsenault of Plaistow, NH, two daughters and son-in-law, Diane (Arsenault) Briggs of Haverhill, and Yvette (Arsenault) and George Pollister of Haverhill, brothers Charles Bourque of Haverhill, William Bourque of Worcester, Gerald Bourque of Florida, and Roger Bourque of Canada, five grandchildren, Walter Briggs, Donnie Briggs, Donna Fisher, Michelle Weatherbee, and Scott Pollister, nine great grandchildren, and one great-great grandson, and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her siblings, Joseph Bourque, Benoit Bourque, Marianne Bourque, Delphine Gauvin, Eva Dallaire, Theresa Saulnier, and a grandson, David Arsenault.
Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, October 17, 2013 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill. Her funeral will be held on Friday at 9:00 a.m. from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in All Saints Church, 120 Bellevue Avenue, Haverhill.
