Moquin
April 10, 1916 – July 16, 2018
Haverhill: Albertine R. (Chagnon) Moquin, 102 a former longtime resident of Smith St, died July 16, 2018 at Haverhill Crossings. Born in Haverhill, daughter of the late Napoleon and Marie (Samson) Chagnon, she attended Saint Joseph Grammar School and Haverhill High School.
Mrs. Moquin was employed first in the local shoe industry and later for Burns and Towne Electronics, the Gillette Co. and The Internal Revenue Service. She last worked at Finelle Industries of Lawrence as a packer until her retirement in 1981.
A lifelong member of All Saints Parish and the former Saint Joseph Parish, she was also a longtime member of the Ladies of Saint Anne Society. She was known as a kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to those who needed her help and support. An avid Boston Bruins fan, she also enjoyed birdwatching and creating a warm and loving home for her family.
The wife of the late J. George Moquin, who died in 2007, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her son and daughter-in-law, Paul G. and Penelope Moquin of Hamburg, NY, a daughter and son-in-law, Dr. Norma Claire (Moquin) and Peter Berman of Lombard, Illinois, five grandchildren, Jocelyn Boothby of Hamburg, and Patrick Moquin of Ormond Beach, FL, Emily Berman of Chicago, Ill, U. S. Army Captain Joseph Berman of Ft. Benning, GA, and Jeffrey Berman of Lombard, four great grandchildren, Michael White, Quinn Boothby, Gavin Boothby and Meriel Boothby, a great great grand-daughter Rosalie White, her brother Edmund Caillouette of Kingston, NH and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Ann (Moquin) Adams, a brother Wilfred Chagnon and sisters, Eva Kelleher, Beatrice Hall, Cecile Lapierre, Loretta Dolfe, Alice Langlois and Bertha Duchemin.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, July 19, 2018 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill, MA. Her funeral will begin on Friday at 9 a.m. from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in All Saints Church, Haverhill. Burial will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
