Albert E. "Al" Zimmerman, Jr., 70, of Haverhill, MA, died on Monday August 2, 2021, in his home surrounded by his loving family.

Born and raised in Natick, MA, he was the son of the late Albert, Sr. and Dorothy (Morgan) Zimmerman and he was a graduate of Natick High School, Class of 1969.

For many years Al was a leading agent at Prudential Insurance. He worked hard for his family, and he played just as hard with them, because Al loved his family more than anything, especially his grandchildren. Camping with his children when they were young and traveling around the world with his wife, especially cruises, were cherished times together. Al had a knack for fastidiously maintaining his vehicles and taking care of things around the house. His lovable nature was best demonstrated in the way he would strike up conversation with perfect strangers and the way he was admired by all who knew him, even just a little.

Al will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of forty-eight years, Claire M. (Demeule) Zimmerman, son, Scott Zimmerman of Haverhill, daughters, Kristin Zimmerman of Haverhill, Heidi Bielecki and her husband, Bryan of Fremont, NH, Heather Zimmerman of Haverhill, grandchildren, Jolie Zimmerman, Kathryn and Nicole Bielecki. Al was predeceased by his daughter-in-law, Kimberly Zimmerman.

Relatives and friends are invited to call from 5 pm to 8 pm on Monday August 9, 2021, at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH. His Funeral Service will begin at 10:30 am on Tuesday August 10 in the Funeral Home, followed by burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Haverhill, MA.
