Brentwood, NH: Albert C. Sheppard, 89, of Brentwood, NH and formerly of Kingston, NH, died on July 13, 2018 at the High Pointe House, Haverhill, MA.
Born in Concord, NH, the son of the late Alan and Jessie (French) Sheppard, he was raised and educated in Chelsea, MA. He served in the U. S. Air Force during WWII as a Private First Class. He worked as a Butcher at Custeau's Supermarket, Plaistow, IGA and Harvest Supermarkets, Plaistow and the First National Store, Beverly, MA.
He was a member of the V.F.W. of Homestead, FL and being a collector of antiques and "junque", he enjoyed yard sales and flea markets. An avid Patriots fan, he also enjoyed boxing, traveling along the Mohawk Trail and spending time with family at Lake George and Lake Champlain.
The widower of Virginia L. (Hilton) Sheppard, who died in 2015, he is survived by two sons, Stephen K. Sheppard of Wakefield, MA and Kenneth Remare and his wife, Mattie of South Dakota; a daughter, Lila A. Bennett and her husband, Edward of Wakefield, MA; a stepdaughter, Lisa B. Fish and her husband, Donald of Kingston, NH; five grandchildren, Marisa and Joshua Bennett, Christopher Brown, Chloe Fish and Steven Remare; four great grandchildren, Skylar and Lukas Remare and Rylee and Adelynn Bennett and his former wife, Gail (Bower) Sheppard of Wakefield, MA.
A private family Graveside Service was held at the Greenwood Cemetery in Kingston, NH with the rendering of military honors by the U. S. Air Force. Donations in his name may be made to the High Pointe Hospice House/Home Health Foundation, 360 Merrimack St., Building 9, Lawrence, MA 01843 or to the Rockingham VNA, 137 Epping Road, Exeter, NH 03833.
