Morin
January 6, 1921 – July 7, 2018
Brentwood, NH: Albert "Al" Napoleon Morin, 97, died on July 7, 2018 at Rockingham County Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
Born and raised in Haverhill, MA, son of the late Arthur and Caroline (Dwyer) Morin, Al attended local schools and was a member of the Haverhill High School Class of 1940. He served in the United States Navy during World War II as an Aviation Machinist's Mate Third Class.
Mr. Morin was employed by the U.S. Postal Service at the Lawrence Post Office as a letter carrier. After his retirement from the post office he continued working, first at Kenoza Confectionary and then at Morin's Liquor Store, a business he co-owned and operated with his wife, Connie.
A member of Holy Angels Church of St. Luke the Evangelist Parish, Plaistow, NH, Al was also a member of the Lions Club of Haverhill, Disabled American Veterans Hannah Dustin Post, American Legion Carl Davis Post, and Knights of Columbus St. Jude Council.
Al enjoyed playing cards, particularly solitaire on the computer, watching his beloved Red Sox and Patriots, and was well known for his love of chocolate.
Predeceased by his wife of seventy years, Constance A. "Connie" (Trainor) Morin, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his only son Peter L. Morin of Fremont, NH, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Roland, Eugene, Leo, Paul, and Arthur, and sisters, Jeannette, Mabelle, Helene, Irene, Lorette, and Marie.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday July 16, 2018 from 10 AM to 12 PM at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH. Memorial service to follow in the funeral home at 12:15 PM followed by the rendering of military honors by the U. S. Navy. Burial will be private.
